I had fresh peach juice leftover from thawing peaches for a peach pie, so I made peach syrup from an awesome apple syrup recipe made famous by my friend Kelsey. This morning I made blueberry pancakes with which to enjoy our peach syrup.
For lunch today, Eden asked for pampakes with peach-up dip. I guess peach-up is related to ketchup.
Love her words.

Busy-ness
Last week was pretty crazy for us here in LawracyLand. My mom was visiting for the week. Friday she was supposed to leave by lunch, but my doula client went in the labor and had her baby, so thankfully my mom was able to stay with the girls while Kevin was at work. Then, that afternoon, my dad and Kathy came to visit for the weekend. Eden and Winnie had a blast with their grandparents. Companions who constantly play hide-and-seek, chase, read books, blocks, coloring, and snuggling with Sparty -- score. Winnie was happy toddling around (she's completely walking now, by the way) after them.
This week we are finally back to a regular schedule. Kevin leaves for Ohio for training in March, so we are soaking up his company as much as possible.
Oh, and we have entered the i-world. Kevin and I got iPhones. They completely overwhelm me. Kevin has fallen in obsession with Words with Friends. He plays against himself just to see what words he can make. It's kind of funny. And annoying.

Daddy Adventures
With Kevin leaving in a few months, we've been trying to spend extra time together lately. We are working on an ABC book in which all the letters will have something to do with Kevin, such as M is for motorcycle (and then there'll be a picture of Kevin and Eden "riding" on Daddy's motorcyle [riding meaning sitting on it stationary in the garage]) and B is for boots ( with a photo of Kevin's work boots).
We went to the park to take some photos, too.
I found this idea on Pinterest to take out the middle sections of a Swiffer and let your kids use it and Eden loves to use "Eden's broom."
I love this photo of Kevin and the girls. Every day when he comes home, this happens. Eden calls it "two babies" when we hold both girls at the same time. I think this photos just personifies what being a dad is all about - the love and strength that a father provides.
Winnie is already 9 1/2 months old. I can't believe she'll be one year old this April. Time is a-flyin'.
She is getting into all kinds of mischief. Sometimes Edengets in the way helps.
So that's our life lately. Happy and content. :)
