Well, I forgot to do a Happy Muffin Monday post, so today it's a Wonderful Wednesday post instead.
General update: everything's peachy here in Lawracy Land. Kevin's been working like mad on the backyard (I even got dirty digging up sod and spreading topsoil and working on our square-foot garden and going to Lowe's multiple times). I have a "during" photo to show you, but no "after" photos quite yet. We still have to put the fencing up (this is anti-dog-digging fencing, to be more specific) and lay the mulch and then the backyard landscaping will be done for the most part.
Working hard for no money...working hard for no money. (Like how hard Ruby's working?) My dad and Kevin dug so many holes for the all the bushes and trees.
Switching directions, Kevin got a slot to attend Squadron Officer School (SOS) this coming class session, so he'll get a break from being an instructor for a few weeks.
Switching directions again, Eden turned 10 months old on March 24. No more single digit month birthdays. The next big milestone is 1 year old. Good gravy, how did 1 year pass? Sometimes it seems like it's been only a few days ago since she was born; other times it feels like it's been 10 years (those times are usually the days after the nights she hasn't slept well). Here are some photos of our mischievous little goober:
First bath in the sink. This was mandated after a run-in with maple syrup.
Learn early, little girl. Chores are fun. And not optional.
Not just a dog door...
Even sunscreen is tasty.
And now for an update in my personal world. We recently had our friends from Panama City come visit us for a day and I made their son a shirt. It was my sophomore attempt at applique. I was pretty happy with the result. Here it is:
(His name is Eli; hence the "e")
And we all went to a great restaurant in downtown Montgomery and afterwards took a group photo that was not the greatest but I love nonetheless. Gotta love the self-timer!
And that pretty much sums up our world! Today it's on to the commissary for grocery shopping and the continuation of the never-ending (literally, it never never EVER ends) laundry pile.
Cheers!
P.S. I forgot an update for the dogs. This photo pretty much sums them up.
Dogs' daily to-do list: hang out outside, dig up Mom and Dad's hard work, rest.
