Today I was standing in the shower, enjoying the peace and quiet (and escape from the screaming in Eden's room - thank you, summer cold #?), when the following occurred to me. Call it "Warning."
"Warning"
or
Without a child, this would seem abnormal:
* pooping in the bathtub, then playing "go fish" with available nearby floating toys
* finding peanut butter and boogers in your hair
* finding Cheerios everywhere - in your wallet, falling out of your car, in your pocket, on your bedside table, in the couch cushions, underneath the washer and dryer...Yet somehow the Cheerio holder is always empty
* learning how quickly milk curdles in a sippy cup when left outside of the fridge
* hugging a naked baby standing in a tub while she poops and whines because this one seems especially difficult to...let go
* being tired of cooking scrambled eggs and making peanut butter sandwiches
* getting poked in the eye then watching the poker run away shreeking with delight
* finding various clothing articles in random rooms in your house
* finding various plastic food containers in random rooms in your house
* finding the dog bowl with one piece of food sitting in the middle of your living room or hallway when the last time you saw it it was in its holder in the laundry room
* finding lone tiny socks...everywhere
Yes, this is my life recently. Always exciting, never a dull moment with Eden.
A random photo from my cell phone today - great facial expression, huh?
Nothin' better than fresh picked, Eden-squeezed-to-death blueberries!
My mom came to visit, and they played in the rain. Eden loved it.
Here's a video of them playing. It's so cute to see her little feet piddle paddling in the puddles.

Chicco should market their infant carrier as 2-in-1: carseat and jungle gym!
Find the stuck (and squealing in the photo) baby!
An elusive quiet moment - captured on camera!
Baby toys - biggest wastes of money ever. Just let them wander; they'll find things with which to entertain themselves (just steer them clear of knives and mini bottles of alcohol)
Besides chasing after Eden, I've been in creating mode lately. I've sewn quite a few things lately. Here are two of them:
a romper
a baby bag (my new favorite thing)
And I've been busy in the kitchen. Ever wonder what 10 pounds of tomatoes looks like?
This photo is misleading. This bowl was huge.
And finally, I think my kitchen may have been trying to tell me something:
These random splatter marks said to me "I've seen too much of you lately. Go out to eat. It's too hot to turn on the stove or oven." (I promise I did not create those splatter marks to look like a sad face on purpose.)
So that's my life lately. Exciting? No. Entertaining? Usually. Fulfilling? Definitely.

I love your updates!!! I've never had poop in the bathtub but I have had Cherrios pouring out of everything :)
Love you and miss you a lot!!
Great photos and video...can't wait until this weekend to enjoy it in person...see you all then...love
Great post, as usual! :) Love your list...I agree with many of them, especially the containers and clothes in random areas of the house. :) Also LOVE the outfit and bag! You are so creative. You need to live here to teach me your ways. :) Oh, and another friend of mine just put up pics on her blog of her almost two year old in their dog's crate as well. :) Hugs!
