Happy Monday!

What a start to the new year it's been! We've already had friends visit, been to SC to visit family, and attended a beer festival (well, Kevin did that. Not me.). Eden is crawling all over creation and likes to play "chase." And, she is already pulling herself up on various things to a standing position (and consequently causing the rest of my hair to turn completely gray). So here are some photos from the past month. Enjoy!

Mmmm, wood. Already eating junk from the ground. Hurray.

I gave her the cinnamon container to play with and the stinker got it open and decided to suck on a stick.

Oh, to be a puppy. It's a hard life.

The joy of magazines. At least she's not eating these.

Like mother, like daughter. Ahhhhh, sleep.

Hurray for prunes! And crazy morning hair!

Sometimes it's just kind of fun to freak your baby out.

You know it had to happen eventually. Poor Ruby.

Leg rolls and pigtails. Good gravy, is there anything cuter??

And finally, you can experience Eden's first taste of banana. Unfortunately, it was not so pleasant for her.

Eden's newest tricks

She's not crawling yet, but it'll be soon. Here she is a-scoochin' away. You'll need the same password my other videos need because yes, she is naked in this one. And by the way, the background noise for this one is strange. I was on hold with the medical clinic on base and their prerecorded message was playing on speakerphone. I do believe this noise helped motivate Eden to go for it.

And as bath time is still one of her favorite times of day, here's another video of her in the bath, this time licking the water. I find it pretty funny. And yes, you'll need the password again.

Meet the newest member of our family!

Welcome to Sparty, the newest baby of our family. He is a mini dachshund born in Prattville, Alabama. We named him Sparty after - what else - Sparty, the mascot of our alma mater, Michigan State. Go Green (or black and tan!)! :)

And yes, I am aware that Kevin and I are crazy. A puppy?!?! The insanity continues...
